Mark was born in southeastern Minnesota and moved to Fargo to receive a degree in Landscape Architecture from North Dakota State University. While in school, Mark focused on natural resource management and connecting people to nature through urban design and landscape architecture. Mark joins Confluence with six years experience in a wide array of project diversity including urban planning, parks master planning and private development.
Mark found a passion for design and the built environment while travelling through the United States. Cities and towns all face similar challenges for growth, but their differing approach to aesthetic and innovation really stuck out. Outside of the office he enjoys exploring the city, photography, woodworking, and taking his dog on long walks.
