Turner Yards serves the Turner Recreation Commission with a vision for a signature recreation facility to draw in a variety of competitions and tournaments.
Confluence led the development for the Turner Yards master plan and establishing a vision for theming of the baseball/softball and soccer complex. The $10 million dollar enhancement plan re-envisions the existing Highland Park site with a six field baseball/softball complex that also allows for dual-use with soccer. The plan utilizes the site’s dramatic topography changes to allow for field benching creating championship fields where spectators get stadium views. Also included in the facility are upgraded concessions and restroom building, new playground, batting cages, Turner walk of fame, maintenance facility and 300 parking stalls.
The Turner Yards theme developed expresses the hard-working industrial history of the area through straightforward, honest materials with exposed structural components. These elements include signage elements and gateways as well as concessions and restroom enhancements.
