U.S. 83/Broadway Bridge Replacement

Replacing the existing bridge over Mouse Creek in Downtown Minot provided an opportunity to celebrate the area's Nordic culture. 

Confluence served as the lead urban designer for the bridge in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team. Through a series of stakeholder involvement meetings, we developed bridge enhancement concepts that included customized bridge piers to reduce the overall quanitity while improving the aesthetic appearance along the river corridor.

A new multi-use path with gateways and pedestrian overlooks was also integrated into the new bridge, including decorative railings, integrated lighting, formliner treatements, and coordinated enhancements for the City's adjacent floodwall improvement project.
