Arboretum & Botanical Gardens: Visitor Center and Sculpture Garden

A multi-disciplinary team led by Confluence created an updated master plan for this community facility to include a new visitor center and a planned sculpture garden.
The program and conceptual design for these facilities included a new visitor center facility and the first phase of a planned sculpture garden. Our team's collaborative design provides new guest amenities and expanded educational programming - anticipated to keep pace with surrounding community growth and increasing attendance. The programming process demonstrated a need for a new ~20,500sf facility with surrounding integrated support spaces.
The new master plan provides expanded parking, entry gardens, reflecting pools and a promenade leading to one of the on-site pond features. A new great lawn, an amphitheater and a series of connecting pathways were also provided.
