Charles Anderson, FASLA, led the site master planning and landscape architecture for this project prior to his collaboration with Confluence.
This entry won the Hellinikon International Design Competition from a total of 440 project entries. This project represents the largest urban regeneration development in Europe, and offers a mile of coastline, a 500-acre community park, commercial and retail uses, residential development, a regenerated marina district, hotels, leisure, and entertainment destinations.
The site served as a former airport, and was used for the 2004 Olympics but has mostly remained abandoned since the conclusion of the games. This master planning project is now in the process of being implemented.
