Opened in 2013, Staunton State Park provides a variety of recreational amenities just 45 minutes from Denver.
Our team led the master plan for the 3,700-acre site - which features many natural assets for the public to enjoy including a natural waterfall and a granite ridgeline providing opportunities for rock climbing.
The first two phases of park construction culminated a two-year planning process. Initial phases of the project included 23 miles of multi-use and hiking-only trails, 28 walk-in campsites, comprehensive trail signage, several group picnic areas, convenient parking areas, and a temporary entrance station. Our team also led a multi-disciplinary approach for a new CPW Service Center - which replaced the temporary entrance station in 2018.
