Position: Proposal Coordinator

Experience: Entry Level to 3 years

Confluence is a growing landscape architecture, planning and urban design firm with an office in Kansas City’s Historic River Market. Our firm has 9 offices throughout the Midwest, with ~85 professional staff collaborating with private and public-sector clients, architects, engineers, and communities to create places full of life. Our marketing functions are based in the Kansas City office, and support all office locations including Des Moines, Denver, Cedar Rapids, Omaha, Sioux Falls, Minneapolis, Fargo, and Chicago.

We seek someone with a background in graphic design and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and related software programs. While previous experience in the Architecture/Engineering field would be beneficial, we are open to considering someone with the right combination of talent, drive, personality, and creativity to become part of our growing marketing team.

This position will assist our team in supporting the firm’s marketing efforts through an emphasis on proposal coordination and completion, while also supporting related marketing activities throughout our network of offices. This includes coordinating with office leaders and collaborating with staff to create project proposals, marketing materials, and programs that communicate firm qualifications and capabilities.   • Collaborate with the marketing manager and other team members to create visually appealing, on-brand designs for project proposals, digital graphics, and promotional materials.
  • Assist marketing manager, marketing/communications coordinator, and marketing committee with additional marketing needs.
  • Ensure consistency in branding and design across all materials.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate fresh ideas and concepts.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging design software.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Journalism or related field.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in the graphic design field, preferably in a digital marketing environment, could be substituted for education requirements above (A/E industry experience is preferred, but is not required for the right candidate).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in InDesign and entire Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Lightroom.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic video production, including ideation, storyboarding, filming, editing, and delivery is a plus.
  • Experience with Unanet/Cosential or other similar CRM programs is a plus.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
