St. Peter's Catholic School: North Campus Improvements

Kansas City, Missouri

Following development of a campus master plan, Confluence, in collaboration with SFS Architecture, was responsible for improvements to the St. Peter’s School north campus. These enhancements, the first phase of master plan recommendations, include ADA access under the porte cochére; a new parking lot/event space with entry drop-off and pergola feature; and a new identification sign for the parish. The project also introduced rain gardens and bio-swales that capture storm water from the parking lot and other paved surfaces. These functional landscape features provide visual interest while also serving as an educational learning laboratory for students. Special attention was paid to understanding the necessary vehicular and pedestrian flow during pick-up and drop-off periods for school and mass in an effort to significantly improve the safety for pedestrians.

The second phase of master plan improvements is anticipated to include narthex improvements and renovations to the existing school facility.
