Old Town Coralville Master Plan

Due to the 2008 flood, a significant number of properties and structures were destroyed in the historic Old Town portion of the community.  The City of Coralville hired Confluence to lead a visioning process and to create a master plan for redeveloping and revitalizing this area, while integrating necessary flood mitigation and protection measures.

Confluence facilitated a series of stakeholder and community meetings to establish a new collective vision for the area, obtain input and guidance during the planning process, and achieve consensus on a preferred master plan.  The plan anticipates an urban mixed-use development character with a community amphitheater, public art and open space features, and a trail system along the riverfront.
