Roosevelt Park

Confluence was selected to provide landscape master plan design services for undeveloped Roosevelt Park. Not in use for years ,this 207-acre rolling and scenic parcel was home to several lead mine vents, a meandering creek, radio control airplane enthusiasts and a few mountain bikers.
The design challenge for our team was to creatively develop a new entry with an improved vehicular roadway system that could connect picnic areas, a 10-acre dog park, a football field for a local semi-pro football team, disc golf course, an interpretive lead mine location and room to expand the mountain bike areas. Among the recommendations is the importance of improving the health of the existing woodland which occupied 50-60% of the overall park area.
