Our Work

43rd Street Corridor

Kansas City, Missouri

Confluence led the streetscape design and implementation planning for improving Kansas City’s 43rd Street Corridor in conjunction with the adjacent Main Street Streetscape project.  During the design process, we facilitated an open community-driven design process that allowed stakeholders and the community to provide their input and ideas for revitalizing this important neighborhood corridor.

Unique pedestrian light fixtures and custom site amenities have been designed for use in expanded pedestrian spaces along this corridor.  The design also integrates creative applications for pedestrian crosswalks, integration of sustainable landscape plantings, and provisions for future additions of public art that celebrate this corridor’s connection to Kansas City’s district of art galleries.
