South Dakota State University – Residence Hall Design
Brookings, South Dakota
Confluence has been involved with the following residence hall design and planning efforts for the South Dakota State University Campus:
Jackrabbit Village Complex: As part of a multi-disciplinary team, Confluence was selected to develop a site master plan for new student housing at South Dakota State University. The main focus of the plan was to create a unique identity for the area around the new housing units. The scope of work included conceptual grading plans, design of plaza spaces and connections to existing walkways, pavement design to accommodate potential vehicular traffic, and design of landscape features including lighting, benches, tables, bike racks, planters, and sustainable landscape plantings.
Residence Hall Expansion: Confluence has also recently been selected to assist with the design development of an additional phase of residence hall housing expansion to serve the growing student population on the SDSU Campus. This opportunity furthers our goal of making the SDSU Campus a great place for student life.
