Simpson College Stadium Improvements
Indianola, Iowa
Simpson College retained Confluence to provide master planning and design services for improvements to Buxton Stadium. Our work included gathering vital input from the Athletic Department, school officials, and potential donors to understand and identify their initial thoughts and opinions about existing facilities and future improvements. Our team developed an overall master plan vision for improvements to address their identified needs and opportunities, and we continued to work with a steering committee to craft the design plans while successfully spurring fundraising efforts.
The master plan recommendations included a series of construction phases. Phase I included improvements to pedestrian and emergency vehicle access. Phase II consisted of a signature entrance and new ticket booth. Phase III included a signature player entrance, ticket booths, brick columns and an ornamental fence. Future phases of implementation are also anticipated, and will be coordinated with Athletic Department fundraising efforts.
