    • Jane joined Confluence in November 2016 upon returning to the Midwest after spending several years working and studying in Georgia. In May 2016, Jane graduated with her Master of City and Regional Planning (MCRP) from the Georgia Institute of Technology where she specialized in Land Use. At Georgia Tech, she gained hands on experience in a variety of planning related skills and technologies. She worked on several different projects at this time including work with low-income communities, neighborhood land use studies, and an industrial land use study.

For the first year of graduate school, Jane was awarded the Frederick K. Bell Fellowship which included a chance to work under a professor in the School of City and Regional Planning as a graduate research assistant. During her second year, Jane gained public sector planning experience at the Atlanta Regional Commission, Atlanta’s metropolitan planning organization. As an intern in its Community Development Division, Jane worked primarily in the Community Choices Program which provides technical reports on planning related issues for Atlanta metro communities. This position offered experience in both municipal and regional planning issues.

Prior to becoming a planner, Jane worked in insurance and customer service. Her undergraduate degree is in political science with a minor in earth science. Her strong interest in environmental issues and policy led her to attain a LEED Green Associate accreditation in August 2016. Jane is excited to be a part of Confluence and is looking forward to gaining a diverse amount of project experience.
