    • Chris will cut to the heart of any problem and deliver exceptional solutions grounded in reality. He brings a strong 20-year background in landscape architecture, site development and urban design to his projects. Chris has guided the design and strategic direction of the firm since its founding in 1998. He currently carries licenses in Iowa and Nebraska, is CLARB certified, is a LEED Accredited Professional and is also certified as a Construction Document Technologist by the Construction Specifications Institute.

Chris received his BLA from Iowa State University, where he has served on their Practitioners Advisory Council for the Landscape Architecture Department. Since his graduation Chris has been active with the American Society of Landscape Architects, serving the local chapter as vice president, president and most recently as the Iowa Chapter Trustee to the National Board. He also served on the Mentor Iowa Board and the Iowa Architectural Foundation Board, where he co-chaired their Community Design Program. His community involvement led him to be named one of Des Moines’ “Forty under 40” by the Des Moines Business Record in 2008.

Whether he is managing the design of multi-million dollar urban design projects or helping guide the firm’s growth, Chris identifies his strongest and most important skills as listening and problem solving.
