The Confluence/Structura designed parklet is ready to return for the summer of 2015 but it needs a home!· view full ·
During the summer of 2013, Confluence partnered with Structura, a local site furnishing fabricator, to create Kansas City’s first “Parklet” which is designed to transform an on-street parking space into a vibrant pedestrian amenity. The project incorporates wood decking, bench seating, solar powered lighting and low maintenance landscaping that extend the sidewalk experience to provide a unique opportunity for customer seating and PR opportunities.
From Memorial Day to Labor Day, the parklet was installed in front of YJ’s Snack Bar at 18th and Wyandotte in Kansas City’s Crossroads Art District and attracted patrons and media attention from across the metro area. In 2014, the parklet was located in front of The Brick at 1727 McGee and will soon be ready for another season of use. We are seeking applications from businesses interested in hosting the parklet for the 2015 season. Click here for more information.
