Confluence will present three sessions at this year’s APA Upper Midwest Conference in Mason City, Iowa.· view full ·
On Thursday, October 23, Chris Shires will be a part of three presentations at the APA Upper Midwest Conference being held in Mason City, Iowa. Together with Brad Deets of the City of Waukee, Chris will provide an overview of strategic planning efforts and the value of master planning in Waukee, Iowa during the ‘Grand Prairie Corridor’ session.
During ‘Creative Funding Solutions’, Mr. Shires will be part of a panel of consultant and public-sector planners who have helped implement good ideas through persistent and creative efforts to secure funding.
The ‘There and Back Again’ session will focus on how public sector and private sector planners successfully interact to ensure a positive and successful outcome.
The APA Upper Midwest Conference is rotated annually amongst the APA Chapters of Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin. This year’s conference theme is “Making Places Great: Embracing the Past and Staging the Future”.
