Chris Cline, along with other members of the consultant team responsible for the recently completed North Oak Corridor Study, will present ‘Land Use Scenarios Supportive of Streetcar, BRT, or Enhanced Transit service in the North Oak Corridor (Kansas City, North Kansas City, and Gladstone MO)’ at the Missouri APA State Conference in Branson, Missouri on Friday, October 18.
The North Oak Corridor Study completed for the City of Kansas City, MO and funded as part of a sustainability grant awarded to the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC), identified the costs and characteristics of a variety of transit options to serve the corridor. The study also examined the development characteristics of the corridor and identified which corridor-wide changes would make transit most successful.
At the Kansas APA State Conference recently held in Manhattan, Kansas, Terry Berkbuegler was a presenter of a session entitled ‘Parks, Open Space and Trails: Planning for Your City’s Health’ which focused on the importance of developing and maintaining a comprehensive plan for a community’s parks and recreation system and economic vitality.
Confluence is also an exhibitor at the Iowa Chapter APA Conference being held October 16-18 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
